Nelson Park
Nelson Park is the newest of the community parks. It is in many stages of development. It currently has available a picnic shelter, a sand volleyball court, a regulation basketball court, two horseshoe pits, and 1/4 mile walking path, and now with the Little Chapel of the Flowers and Meditation area it has become the host to many family reunions, and weddings.
Are you interested in reserving the picnic shelter or the Chapel of the Flowers, please contact City Hall for available dates.
The Chapel can be rented for $75.00.
The Picnic Shelter can be booked at City Hall there is no formal charge for the facility, but a free will donation is accepted.
The Eagle Bend Area Development Corporation has designed a brochure that best describes the different levels of Guardianship available for Nelson Park as the park develops further with a Serenity Garden and playground equipment much help is need to accomplish the goals set forth for this project.
Current and ongoing projects for the park are the Serenity Garden and pathways and continued fundraising for playground equipment. The Serenity Garden is in the early stages of development and will feature meandering paver paths with granite block inserts. Garden rooms for relaxation and reflection.
